Configure Proxy Server
WebCam Monitor requires an internet connection for Remote Monitoring options like Broadcasting and Upload. In addition, the E-mail Notification alert also requires internet connection. If you connect to the internet via a proxy server then you must first configure it in WebCam Monitor.
To configure the proxy server:
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- Select The Remote Monitoring tab.
- Under Proxy Server, click Configure.
- Specify the proxy details. If required, contact your network administrator.
- Click OK.
When configuring the E-mail Notification alert to connect via a proxy server, make sure that you provide an IP address as the mail server. Providing a host name like "mail.server.com" may not work if WebCam Monitor is not able to resolve the host name to its corresponding IP address. This usually is the case when using a Proxy server.

When you connect to the internet using a proxy server and you receive a "425 Can't open data connection" error during an upload then you must enable the Use Passive Mode for FTP connection in Upload Settings. |
