Note that it is not the current state of the key that is saved to the file but the one that is in the log file. For example, you can use this feature to save a key that has already been deleted from the Registry but remains in the installation log files of a reg file.
Sometimes the key being saved may consist of several reg files. For example, when you save a key containing changed values, each modified value will correspond to one reg file. That is why, when you select the Export the Selected Registry Key to a File... command, the program asks you to specify not a file name, but the folder where you want to save the reg files corresponding to the key.
Click the Remove from Log button to remove objects (Registry keys or files and folders) from log files. Note: These items will not be physically removed from your system, only from the log file. |
