Quick Start
Overview of Reg Organizer Working Modes
- Registry Editing
Registry Editing Mode contains a powerful editor possessing an extended set of features, such as cloning Registry keys, obtaining information about any selected key, etc. Like the standard RegEdit, it allows you to create, delete, edit keys, change values, and save keys to Registry (.reg) files.
- Manual Registry Cleanup
Use the Manual Registry Cleanup Mode to thoroughly clean the Registry and configure the operating system. In particular, you can specify programs to be launched at Windows startup, explore shared dynamic link libraries, and much more. In this mode, you can also search the Registry for references to non-existing files and folders and remove these references - thus freeing your Registry of unnecessary garbage.
- Automatic Registry Cleanup
This mode can search the Registry for erroneous or obsolete references and entries. These entries can be removed or repaired.
- Registry Search and Replace Mode
This mode offers you a variety of options for searching through the Registry and replacing records matching the specified criteria.
- Disk Cleanup
This Reg Organizer feature allows you to search for incorrect or unnecessary files on hard disks of your computer, and then correct the errors or remove the files if possible.
- Editing Configuration Files
Use the Configuration Files Editing Mode to easily control configuration files, in particular initialization (.ini) files that are used by many programs and by Windows for storing settings.
- Uninstalling Software
In the Uninstalling Software Mode, Reg Organizer has a powerful tool allowing you to completely remove applications. It deletes all application files, any entries the application left in the Registry and in configuration files and libraries the application added to system folders. In addition, you can view all changes the application made to each of the above components of your system.
- Tweaking the System
The Tweaks Mode of Reg Organizer gives you access to some extra undocumented options of the Windows shell.
- Registry Optimization
With the Registry Optimization Mode you can compress and defragment the Registry.
