Disk Cleanup
Disk Cleanup mode lets you automatically remove unnecessary files from the hard drive of your computer, and searches for and fixes invalid shortcuts; that is, lost shortcuts to programs and documents.
It is necessary to do this from time to time because applications and the operating system create a lot of temporary files, which can waste considerable space. Programs should delete these files after they are no longer needed, but this does not always happen. The situation continually worsens if not properly handled.
For example, Microsoft Word creates a temporary copy of each file you open. Very often these copies remain on your computer after Word is closed. If you do not delete them, these "temporary" files are permanently stored.
Finding and deleting these files manually is tricky even for advanced users, but the Disk Cleanup mode of Reg Organizer can recognize and remove useless files easily. |
