Imprint Settings

Imprint offers an innovative set of options by using which you can stamp your printing job with the text of your selection. You may apply the selected imprint to each page or selected Pages. Imprint Settings are available on Imprint Tab.

Apply to: "Apply to" option-set allows to specify the criteria for printing of Imprint text.

First Page only: This will print the specified Imprint Text on first Page only.

Seach Page: This will print the specified Imprint Text on each Page. You can specify Start Page from "Start on Page option.

first sheet only: If your layout selection requires more than one Paper sheet, then this option will print the specified Imprint Text only on first Paper sheet.

each sheet: This option make the PrintTuner to print the specified Imprint Text on each Paper Sheet.

Start on Page

If you have selected the "Apply to" option as each page then additionally you can specify from which Page number you would like to have specified Imprint text by setting the Start on Page value to that Page Number.

Water Mark

PrintTuner can print specified Imprint text as Header (on top), Footer (at the bottom) or Water Mark (on the back of page text). You can also change the Font, Font Size and Font color along with Regular/Bold/Italic/Bold-Italic text decoration options.

To change Font formatting, simply click on Font button and this will show the following Select Font dialog box. Just make the changes you want and click OK button. That's it! All the Font Changes will recorded and Preview will be updated automatically.

Setting Imprint Text for Header, Footer or Water Mark is very easy. To set the Header Imprint, click on Header option and write text which you want to have as Header Imprint in the Text box. Similarly, you can specify text for Footer as well as Water mark. To help you get the work done fast, PrintTuner is packed with some preset variables for Imprint. Just click on >> button and you will get following list of variables which will be replaced by respected values at the time of Printing.

"Login User" will print current windows system log-in user name as Imprint.
"Computer" will print the Name of Computer as Imprint.
"Page Count" will insert the Page Number as Imprint.
"Total pages" will insert a number which is equal to total number of pages in print job.
"Page m of n" will make the Imprint to show Current Page (m) out of Total number of pages (n).
"Day" will insert the System date as Imprint.
"Next Line" is a variable which will can be used for creating multi-line text.

Note: Multi-line Text is possible only for Water Mark. Header and Footer does not support multi-line feature.

"Next Line" menu item is shown only when Water Mark option is selected. There are other three options which are not available for Water Mark option, but those are applicable only to Header and Footer. Hence, when either of these two is selected, following pop-up menu is shown with three new menu items at the bottom ...

"Center", "Left" and "Right" menu items will set the alignment of text in Header and Footer as "Center", "Left" and "Right" respectively.

Note: Alignment options (Center, Left, Right) are not available for Water Mark. So, when you select Water Mark option, these three options are not shown in menu, instead "new line" menu item presented.
