Using and Creating Auto Layouts
- As in Tutorial 1, steps 1 - 3, you must have Power Print open to a blank document.
- Change the layout of the document to an Automatic Layout. From the Page Layout menu select Automatic Layout and then 4 Per Page. Power Print automatically arranges images so that each image takes up 1/4 of the page.
- In the View menu, go to Options. Go to the User Interface page of the Options screen and ensure that Simplified Interface is unchecked.
The preview page should look like this:
- Each numbered rectangle represents a location in which an image or text box can be placed.
- Add 2 images. The first image will appear in rectangle 1, and the second in rectangle 2.
- Change the layout to Full Page. The first image will resize to fit the entire page. The second will move onto the second page and resize to fit.
- In the Image menu, select Manual Layout. The document is changed over to Manual Layout.
- Manually change the size of your images so that two images can appear on one page.
- To save this as a new layout, go to the Image menu and select Save Layout. You will be prompted to give the new layout a name.
- The new layout appears in your Layout list.
