Auto-Cropping Images to Fit Documents
When you use a Layout in Power Print, it shrinks your images so that they will fit into the image space in the layout. This may not be the best way to present an image or fill an image page. You can use the Auto-Crop function as a fast way to automatically crop images.
With Auto-Cropping, Power Print crops an image to an area that is a perfect fit for the image space. The result is a detailed selection from your image, attractively displayed. An example of what auto-cropping does to an image is shown below.
Instructions
- To auto-crop an image, select an image.
- Right-click and select Automatically Crop Image.
- The image is cropped so that it fits into the layout space for the image.
Resizing Images
Depending on the layout, it may be possible to resize images and text boxes. Images can be resized in Manual or Automatic by Size layouts but not in Auto or Thumbnail layouts.
A resizable image will have a black border with resizing handles. An image which cannot be resized will only have the center handle.
To resize an image, you can do one of the following:
- Click and drag a resizing handle. This will resize the current item.
- Right click on a selected image and choose a size from the Fit To Size options. This will resize all selected images.
- From the Items menu, choose a size from the Fit To Size options. This will resize all selected images to the size you select.
