Concept
Aspect Ratio
The Aspect Ratio is the ratio between an image's height and its width. For example, an image that is 4 inches wide by 2 inches high is twice as wide as it is high, and has a 2:1 ratio. When an image is resized, the aspect ratio is maintained, and the image remains in proportion.
To resize an image without maintaining the aspect ratio, right-click on the image. From the right-click menu, open the Resize/Custom Size option and uncheck Keep Aspect Ratio.
Item
An Item is anything that can be added to a Power Print document page.
You can add:
- A digital photo image
- Another kind of image
- A text box
All these objects are described in this documentation as Items.
Resizing Handles
Resizing handles are the red or green blocks that appear in the corners of a selected, resizable item.
If an item can be resized, the blocks are green. Dragging one of the green blocks resizes the object.
If the image cannot be resized, the blocks are red.
Resizing handles differ from selection marks in that they are larger and extend outside the borders of the item.
Selection Marks
Selection marks are the small red blocks that appear in the corners of a selected item.
Text Parameters
The text parameters determine the size and appearance of the text you add to a text box/caption for an image.
