Basic Power Print Use
- If you are reading this, you have opened the Power Print software using the Power Print Program item from the desktop Programs menu.
- Read the tip window that appears. Review any other pop-up windows that appear. Then, close them until only the main window is open.
- There will be a blank document open in the main frame. Change the layout of the document to an Automatic Layout. From the Page menu select Automatic Layout and then Default Size. Power Print automatically arranges images on the page based on the images' size.
- Add an image. From the Edit menu select Add Image From File. Locate an image that you are proud of, and select it. The image will appear on the document page at its default size.
- Change the image size to 6 x 4 inches (150 x 100 mm). To do this, select the image. Then, from the Items menu, select Fit to Size and choose the appropriate size. The image is resized in the document at the size you have selected.
- Rotate the image. From the Items menu, select one of the rotation commands.
- Insert another image using the 'Add image from file' command on the 'Items' menu.
- Select the image. It should have a border with green resize handles.
- Make the image a smaller. To do this, click on the bottom right resize handle and drag it up and to the left. When you release the left button, the image will resize. Try and reduce the image to about 4 x 3 inches (100mm x 75mm).
- The image is still the wrong size, so resize it to 4 x 3. To do this, right click on the image and select 'Fit to Size' followed by the appropriate size (wording will differ depending on the measurement units selected).
- That image is never going to be the right size and you don't want it in your document anyway. Delete it! From the Items menu, select Remove.
- Insert and resize another image instead.
- Print the file. From the File menu, select the Print command. The file is sent to your printer.
Save the file for posterity. From the File menu, select the Save command.
