General Options

In this window, you can define general settings for the application :

General tab

• Load the last opened catalog when starting application.
• Check if a newer version is available when starting application : at startup, ReportCD will check if a newer version has been released and can be downloaded from Internet. If yes, detailed information about the new version are displayed.
• Expand to show disk when catalog is loaded : when opening a catalog, the program will expand all the structure in order to see all disks images and disks groups.
• Catalog compression options, with differents compression levels. With this options, you can specify to compress the catalog file, and specify the compression level. Please note that a high compression level will reduce the size of the catalog file, but will also slow down the application when accessing to disks images data.

• Temporary folder used by the program to store temporary files.
• Thumbnails size : used to specify thumbnails size in the right pane of the main window (when Thumbnail style view is selected).
• Minimum number of songs to constitute an album (in MP3 MP3) : specify the minimum number of MP3 files with the same album name (the singer can be different) that should be grouped in the same album, in the Album section for the MP3 view. For example, if the value is 7 and if the application find 7 songs (or more) with the same album name, those files will be grouped under the same album. This option is usually used for compilation albums (several songs from different artists).

Language tab

• Application language : specify the language used in the application. In order to apply selected language, a restart of the program is needed.

Catalog properties

• Protect the catalog by password : when opening a catalog, the program will ask for a password if it is protected by a password.
