Main Menu

The main menu of Actual Planner allows you to access the main functions of the program. However, since Actual Planner combines a lot of features and various data (tasks, contacts, events, etc.), separate items in the main menu may differ depending on the current section (for example, the "View" item will contain commands related to sorting the table in the "Tasks" section, but these commands will be hidden in the "Today" section). Such items in the main menu as "File", "Edit", "Service", "Windows", "Help" do not depend on the section.

The "File" menu allows you to manage the entire Actual Planner database (creating, saving, opening, etc.). You can also use the "File" menu to access the features of exporting and importing data, printing and preview. Besides, you can use the "File" menu to create any Actual Planner document: a new task, contact, event, etc.

The "Edit" menu contains the standard set of commands allowing you to copy, cut, delete and paste Actual Planner data (copying and moving several tasks (contacts, events, notes, etc.) from one folder to another).

The "Service" menu allows you to customize Actual Planner (the global options of the program, interface language, etc.) and also allows you to compress the current database (see "Compressing the database" for more details).

The "Windows" menu contains the list of open windows (Actual Planner documents) and allows you to switch between them. Since each Actual Planner document is opened in a separate window, it may be difficult to find the necessary document among other windows (in case there are a lot of applications running). The "Windows" menu contains the list of only Actual Planner windows.

The "Help" menu contains important menu items allowing you to open the help system of Actual Planner, access web services devoted to the program and also start the process of buying and registering the program.
