DataBase
All Actual Planner documents are stored in a special database (Actual Planner data file *.adf). In other words, all folders, tasks, contacts, notes and blog pages are stored in one *.adf file.
By default (when you start Actual Planner for the first time), a demo database with documents is created (standard demo tasks, contacts, events, etc.). However, you can always create a new database with documents (or open an existing one from the disk) and this new database will be empty without any documents.
It is really convenient to store documents in one file. In the first place, it concerns backups and data safety. In case Actual Planner is installed on several computers (e.g. at home and at work), you can easily move the database with your documents using any media (the best choice in this case is a USB flash drive).
Actual Planner allows you to easily import data from other programs and export data into popular file formats (for future use in other software). |
