Open or Edit File

This tutorial explains how to open and edit files in NetPhotoManager.

Opening file

You can open file in NetPhotoManager with any program associated with it, just like in Windows Explorer. To open a file, right click it in the file list, select submenu "Shell Command", then select the program you want to use.

Editing file

When you open a file in NetPhotoManager, NetPhotoManager download the file from library to a temporary disk folder and then open the temporary file with the program you selected. If you edit the file and then save it, only the temporary file will be changed and the file in library will remain unchanged until you submit the changes. NetPhotoManager will prompt you to submit files if you have edited them. After submitting, the files in libray will be changed.

You can also submit editing files manually. To do this, use the Editing files window. If the Editing files window is hidden, show it by select menu "View/Editing files". Select files you want to submit and then click the "Submit" button in toolbar of the Editing files window.
