Work Window

Click the View > Work Window menu to show or hide the Work window, which consists of four tabbed panels: Browse Session, Transfer Session, FTP Queue, and Transfer Log. Click the desired tab to select and display the contents of the respective panels.

In Tools > Default Options menu, on Connection page, you can specify the number of Max concurrent connections per site. One of the connections is used for browse. You can select the Browse Session Tab to display the connection log. It shows download, upload, or FTP commands used over the browsing session.

Browse Session lists Send and Receive commands in black. The status of the connection is shown in blue. Connection error is shown in red.

You can save the Browse Session log by checking off the Save Browse Session log (.bog) option in the Tools > Default Options menu, on the Transfer > Log page. You should turn it on for diagnostic purposes. To view the Browse Session log, select the Tools > Browse Session Log menu. The Browse Session Log can be very large in file size.

Transfer Session

Click the View > Work Window menu to show or hide the work window, which consists of four tabbed panels: Browse Session, Transfer Session, FTP Queue, and Transfer Log panels. Click the Transfer Session tab to select and display the contents of this panel.

Queue Transfer and Mirror Transfer initialize their own connections. Click on the Transfer Session Tab to see transfer connections and the transfer log.

Transfer Session lists the Send and Receive commands for all transfer tasks (queue items) in black. The connections status is shown in blue. Connection errors are shown in red.

History of the Transfer Session log can be used to identify problems with scheduled transfers. To save the Transfer Session log, check off the Save Transfer session log (.tog) option in the Tools > Default Options menu, on the Transfer > Log page. You should turn it on for diagnostic purposes. FTP Queue

Click the View > Work Window menu to show or hide the work window, which consists of four tabbed panels: Browse Session, Transfer Session, FTP Queue, and Transfer Log panels. Click the FTP Queue tab to select and display the contents of this panel.

Click on the FTP Queue tab to see the list of tasks waiting to be transferred, being transferred, done or failed transfer. A queued transfer task can be for download, upload, mirror download, or mirror upload. Each transfer task has a root item in FTP Queue and consists of multiple files and folders in the transfer. The start and finish time are listed for each file or folders. The following icons indicate the status of each file transfer:

  • Waiting for transfer Waiting for transfer
  • Transfer starts Transfer starts
  • Retry Retry
  • Prompt Prompt
  • Done Done
  • Skip Skip
  • Error but can be resumed Error but can be resumed
  • Error Error
  • Scheduled transfer Scheduled transfer

If the file doesn't get transferred successfully, the error is also displayed in the last column.

Transfer Log

Click the View > Work Window menu to show or hide the work window, which consists of four tabbed panels: Browse Session, Transfer Session, FTP Queue, and Transfer Log panels. Click the Transfer Log tab to select and display the contents of this panel.

To turn on transfer log, check off the Transfer log option in the Tools > Default Options menu, on the Transfer > Log page. To view the Transfer log, click on the Transfer Log tab to review its contents.

Preview and Editor Window

If a file format is supported, double click on the local or remote file to open it in the Preview and Editor window. You can also use the View > Preview and Edit menu or you can click the Edit tool on the Navigationbar to open it. You can use the toggle View > Maximize Editor menu (Ctrl+Shift+M) to switch between full screen view and normal view.

The Preview and Editor window is MDI (multiple document interface) window. Therefore, you can open and view more than one file in ConcordFTP. You can select the Window menu to see the list of open Preview and Editor windows. The Window menu has several additional selections to help you manage the previewing process:

  • Close Active - Will close the active preview window being displayed.
  • Close All - Will close all preview windows currently showing.
  • Split - Allows the mouse to lock in on the split panel of an HTML previewed page. Move the mouse to move the split and click the left mouse button when you are satisfied with the space allocated to code/HTML page. Drag the center of the split to any corner to restore the single view.
  • Previous - Scrolls to the previous file on the list.
  • Next - Scrolls to the next preview file on the list.
  • Cascade - Shows all preview windows in a layered cascading layout.
  • Tile Horizontally - Displays all preview files. The files are separated above and below each other.
  • Tile Vertically - Displays all preview files. The files are separated to the left and right of each other.

Preview and Editor Toolbars

The Preview and Editor Toolbars can be turned on or off via the View menu, as well as being dragged for repositioning. Actions of the Editor Toolbar buttons apply to the file in the active Editor window. The general Editor Toolbar includes buttons for creating, opening, saving, publishing, sending, and printing the file in the active Editor window, as well as editing functions such as cut, copy and paste. There are unlimited levels of Undo and Redo for you to undo or redo the changes.

ConcordFTP additionally provides you with Text Toolbar and Image Toolbar. The Text Toolbar allows you to perform in text search, HTML match search, and also more text display options such as font sizes and word wrap. The Image Toolbar offers you additional tools for the image in the Preview window such as area selection, pick pixel color, zoom, rotate and flips. Also provided are additional displays about detailed information for the image, i.e. Track information for pixel color in RGB, cursor position, and image dimensions.
