Transfer
Use the Tools > Default Options menu or the Options icon on the Navigationbar, and go to the Transfer page to select the settings below.
- Download rename mask - If file with the same name already exists on your computer, you have the option to rename the download file with a mask. You can set how you want to rename the download file. For example, sample.txt using the default entry of %f (%n) will be renamed to sample (1).txt with %f being the file name and %n being the copy number.
- Download to temporary file and rename after completed - You can check off this checkbox for saving in temporary file and rename the temporary file to the target file when download is complete.
- Keep server file time - Checking off Keep server file time will preserve the downloaded file date and time as it is appears on the server. Otherwise, the file date and time will be that of the download time.
- Download to current local folder - When this option is selected, it will download to the current selected folder in the Local Browser.
- Prompt for download folder - When this option is selected, it will prompt you for the download folder.
- Download to - Enter or click the browse button to select the default download folder.
- Upload to temporary file and rename after completed - You can check off this checkbox for saving in temporary file and rename the temporary file to the target file when upload is complete.
- Note: FTP protocol deletes existing server file before uploading the new one, which may leave you without any usable file should the transmission fail. With this option, ConcordFTP will upload the new file under a temporary name. After it is successfully uploaded to the server, the existing file is deleted and the new file is renamed back to its original name. This feature provides additional reliability and integrity in file transfer. However, this feature will not work if you do not have the Rename privilege on the server. In that case, you have to uncheck this option. This feature also assumes that you have enough free space on your server to hold the temporary file.
- Keep local file time if server allows - Checking off this option will preserve the uploaded file date and time if the server allows MDTM. Otherwise, the file date and time will be that of the upload time.
Filters
Use the Tools > Default Options menu or the Options icon on the Navigationbar, and go to the Transfer > Filters page to select the settings below.
Filters: The Filter tab helps decrease the number of files that you will be able to see. This is helpful if you wish to set up specific FTP connections procedures to only view images, or HTML files, etc
- Search pattern - To find files by name, enter the entire file name (including file extension) or partial name with wildcard symbols in the Search pattern field. Wildcards are useful if you do not fully know the exact name of the file, or cannot remember its file extension, but know partial name. Wildcards are also useful in finding multiple files pertaining to the same subject. For example, if you are looking for files pertaining to a project and they are listed like "project1.doc", "project1.jpg", "project_data.xls", "final_project.pps", you can enter *project* to get all files that have "project" in the filename. You can also use only the single character wildcard, i.e. "?" instead of "*", to perform your search.
- Accept extension - By entering an extension in the Accept extension field, you can perform searches that are only of those extensions. For example, entering jpg will search for all files ending with the jpg extension. If you want to search for multiple extensions, you can separate them with semicolons, e.g. "jpg;png;bmp", with no space.
- Reject extension - By entering extensions into the Reject extension field, you can filter out particular extension(s). Rejecting more than one extension requires using the semicolon separator, with no space.
