Interface
The ConcordFTP interface consists of FTP browser (Account Panel and Server File List Panel), local browser, tabbed Work window, and Preview and Editor window. You can display or hide these windows using the View manu. In addition, the interface comes with the Navigationbar, and the Preview and Edit toolbar. Available tools in the Preview and Edit toolbar will depend on the file type in the Preview and Editor window. You can display or hide the Navigationbar and the Preview and Edit toolbar using the View > Toolbar menu.

Change Layout
Click on the edge of the window and drag it to attach to the top, bottom, left or right of the screen.
Navigationbar
Click the View > Toolbar> Navigationbar menu to show or hide this toolbar. You can customize the bar style by selecting one of the available View > Toolbar> Customize menu items (Text on Bottom, Text on Right, or No Text). The Navigationbar consists of the following toos:
- Connect: Select the account or FTP server in FTP Neighborhood and click the Connect icon to connect to the selected FTP server. If no accountis selected, or the FTP browser, Account Panel is not displayed, the default account or the first account in the list is used to connect. The default account can be set in the File > Account Manager menu.
- Disconnect: Click this icon to disconnect from the FTP server.
- Stop: Click this icon to stop the transfer. If there is progress bar for the transfer, you can also click on the Cancel button to stop the transfer. All transfers are listed in the FTP Queue panel of Work window. You can right click on the item listed in the Queue to resume the transfer again.
- Upload: Select folders or files in the Local Browser, and click on this icon to start the upload. If no account is activated or selected, a dialog will be displayed for you to pick an Account for the upload. If there is FTP folder specified for the Account, files and folders will be uploaded to the specified folder. Otherwise, the upload will be going to the root folder of that server. Transfer Options specified in the Tools > Default Options menu will be used for the upload.
- Download: Select folders or files in the FTP Browser, and click on this icon to start the download. If there is a local folder specified for this Account, files and folders will be downloaded to the specified folder. Otherwise, the current local folder will be the target download folder. Transfer Options specified in the Tools > Default Options menu are used for the download.
- Publish: Click on this icon to upload the edited document back to where it originally comes from.
Open: Select any local or remote file, and click on this icon to open the file with the associated editor.
- Edit: Select any local or remote file, and click on this icon to open or preview files. You can specify the number of preview windows allowed in the Tools > Default Options menu, General > View Windows page. There are additional options you can specify on the General group of pages.
Options: Click this icon to display the Default Options dialog.
FTP Browser
Click the View > FTP Browser menu to show or hide the FTP Accounts and Folders (Account Panel), and Files and Folders (FTP Panel) of specified Account. The FTP Browser has a toolbar with an Address box where all recently accessed FTP folders are listed. There are two icons on the FTP Browser toolbar: the Up icon to move the folder selection up one level and the Marker icon to tag FTP files and folders in the FTP Panel.
- Account Panel: Check off the Show All Accounts option in the General Tab from the Tools > Default Options menu to show the Account Panel, which lists all the accounts. You can naviagate up and down the folder tree in Account Panel. You can also right click an account and select from available right click menu items, such as rename, delete, etc.
- FTP Panel: The FTP Panel displays files and subfolders of the selected FTP folder. You have the option to display items in the FTP Panel in in Large Icons, Small Icon, List, or Details mode.
Local Browser
Click the View > Local Browser menu to show or hide the local files and folders window. The Local Browser has a toolbar with an Address box where all recently accessed folders are listed. There are three toolbar icons: the Up icon to move folder up one level, the Marker icon to tag files and folders, and the Thumbnail toggle icon to toggle Thumbnails with the others. When in the Thumbnails mode, you can use the slider tool to adjust thumbnail size. You have the option to display items in the Files and Folders List Panel in Large Icons, Small Icon, List, or Details mode. |
