General
Use the Tools > Default Options menu or the Options icon on the Navigationbar, and go to the General page to select the settings below.

Open previous account - Will open the last FTP site used from the last time ConcordFTP was closed
Stay in Tray - Will have ConcordFTP load on Windows startup and stay in Tray
Show Splash Screen - Show Splash Screen
Show All Accounts - Show Account Panel
Save Account Profile - Will keep the account and site properties of your FTP connections saved when exit
ConcordFTP system folder - Enter or click the browse button to select the ConcondFTP system folder for storing account profiles, queues, schedules, and logs. Each Windows User Account has its own ConcondFTP system folder. The default folder is My Documents\ConcordFTP.
You can choose a shared folder as ConcordFTP system folder if you want user accounts to share account profiles, queues, schedules, and logs. Otherwise, you should select system folder locations that cannot be accessed by unauthorzed users.
- Clear Local Marks - Click this button to clear local marks in Local Browser
- Clear Local History - Click this button to clear visited local folders
- Clear FTP Marks - Click this button to clear FTP marks in FTP Browser
- Clear FTP History - Click this button to clear visited FTP sites and folders
Password
Use the Tools > Default Options menu or the Options icon on the Navigationbar, and go to the General > Password page to select the setting below.
Password protect Account Manager and Default Options - Check off this box to protect any function that changes the Account profile, logs, and Default Options.
Ask password only once - Check off this box so that you don't have to enter the password each time. Uncheck this box will enable the password prompt again.
Password protect Account file - Check off this box to encrypt the Account file (.fsi) itself to keep it from being copied and used on another computer without authorization.
There is only one password required to access Account Manager, Default Options and the Account file (.fsi). Password protection is recommended when privacy and security are priority issues.
View Windows
Use the Tools > Default Options menu or the Options icon on the Navigationbar, and go to the General > View Windows page to select the settings below.

Skip file size over If this option is checked off, ConcordFTP will skip files over the specified size limit. To define the limit, enter the size and click KB (1,024 bytes), bytes, or MB (1,024 KB) for the unit of the size. Windows sometimes creates large size files such as the swap file. Previewing large files could exhaust system resources and cause the system to crash.
Skip the following file types or files (";" as delimiter) Check off this box and specify a list of file names or types to be excluded from preview. For example, you may not want to preview DLL or DRV files. Enter multiple file names or types, separating them by semicolons ";" without space.
Limit the number of view windows Check off this box and type in or use the arrows to specify the desired maximum number of preview windows. ConcordFTP will open a new window for each preview window until the maximum number of preview window is reached.
Preview
Use the Tools > Default Options menu or the Options icon on the Navigationbar, and go to the General > Preview page to select the settings below.
Single click and view will display the file contents in the Preview and Editor window when you single click to select a file. Otherwise, you need to double click a selected file to display its contents in the Preview and Editor window.
Fit video to window will keep all video files to be resized to fit inside the preview window.
Keep video size will maintain the video's original size when displayed in the preview window.
Fit image to window will resize a file image to fit the preview window, un-checking this will have the file previewed in its original size.
Sound off will turn off a multimedia's audio channel.
Font - Select type of Editor from RTF or Syntax editor, and press the Browse or Default button to select font for text in the ConcordFTP editor.
HTML and Syntax Editor
Use the Tools > Default Options menu or the Options icon on the Navigationbar, and go to the General > HTML and Syntax Editor page to select the settings below.
The HTML and Syntax Editor provides a color-coded display in a single panel text editor. It depends on the keywords of language syntax to display different colors for those keywords, as well as to display different indents, alignments, and spaces for the paragraphs. Since it is text based, ConcordFTP bases on the file extensions to automatically parse the keywords.
RTF Editor
Use the Tools > Default Options menu or the Options icon on the Navigationbar, and go to the General > RTF Editor page to select the settings below.
RTF Editor provides editing functions for ASCII and RTF format document. It supports fonts, alignment, and other formatting functions. |
