Zoom in and Zoom out
The Zoom function is part of the Image Toolbar for use with previewing or editing image files. Use the View > Toolbar > Image Toolbar menu to turn the Image Toolbar on or off.
How to Zoom in and view an image?
You can use one of the following options to zoom in and view an image:
- Select the Zoom tool
on the Image toolbar, and click in the area you want to magnify. Each click will magnify the image to the next preset percentage, centering the display at the point of your click.
- Or, you can click on the down arrow of the Zoom tool
on the Image toolbar a pull-down menu will be displayed for you to choose a zoom level.
- You can also use the shortcut key Ctrl++ (Ctrl and "+") to zoom in an area.
How to Zoom out and view an image?
- Click the down arrow of the Zoom tool
on the Image toolbar and a pull-down menu will be displayed for you to choose a zoom level.
- In addition, there are three quick Zoom settings in the Zoom tool pull-down menu: Normal (100%), Large Size (400%), and Fit on Screen.
- You can also use the shortcut key Ctrl+- (Ctrl and "-") to zoom out an area.
Selecting an Area
The Selecting an Area function is part of the Image Toolbar for use with previewing or editing image files. Use the View > Toolbar > Image Toolbar menu to turn the Image Toolbar on or off.
How to select and deselect an area?
You can use the Rectangle Selection tool on the Image toolbar and drag to select an area in the image. To deselect the area, click the down arrow of the Rectangle Selection tool and choose the Deselect menu from the pull-down menu. You can also select the area outside the selected rectangular area by choosing the Inverse Select menu.
Rotating a Selected Area
The Rotating a Selected Area function is part of the Image Toolbar for use with previewing or editing image files. Use the View > Toolbar > Image Toolbar menu to turn the Image Toolbar on or off.
How to rotate a selected area?
You can rotate the selected area in an image by following the steps below.
- Select the area to be rotated. If no area is selected, the entire active item will be processed.
- Click the Rotate 90 CW (90 degrees clockwise) Image toolbar button to rotate it 90 degrees clockwise.
Flipping or Mirroring a Selected Area
The Flipping or Mirroring a Selected Area function is part of the Image Toolbar for use with previewing or editing image files. Use the View > Toolbar > Image Toolbar menu to turn the Image Toolbar on or off.
How to flip or mirror a selected area?
You can flip or mirror the selected area of an image by following the steps below.
- Select the area to be flipped or mirrored. If no area is selected, the entire image will be processed.
- Choose the Flip or Mirror toolbar buttons from the Image toolbar to flip (up/down) or mirror (left/right) it.
