The user gets in package a set of most popular option strategies with descriptions. You can change them according to your own opinion and create new strategies from existing ones. The strategy export/import feature allows you to share strategies with your friends and partners.

The built strategy is always saved in theoretical terms and thus is not dependent from selected stock.

Based on selected strategy Visual Strategy Analyzer automatically builds from downloaded real stock data the options portfolio and draws profit/loss charts, which allows you visual evaluate the profitability and possible risks of the strategy. User has the possibility to make the “What-If” analysis of portfolio, changing the underlying price and calculation date. Whenever you change strategy items or other parameters, like risk-free interest rate or stock volatility, the charts will be redrawn immediately.

There are two ways to build your own or change existing strategies: in theoretical terms (selecting ITM, ATM, or OTM options by steps, Near-term or Long-term options etc), and by selecting option parameters from lists of available real strikes and expiration dates for selected stock.

There are three option pricing models implemented in Visual Strategy Analyzer: Black-Scholes, Binominal European and Binominal American.

It is possible to save downloaded from Internet option data for selected stock locally and use it later for analysis or back testing.

The Visual Strategy Analyzer has additional features like uploading portfolio and charts data into Microsoft Excel for further analysis or building more complex multi-stock strategies.
