Templates
The template files used to generate the email are located in the following path:
c:\data files\Followup Secretary\
The five simple text files used to generate the emails are listed below
A "simple text" file can be created directly with Window's Notepad. If a more complex word processor, like Word, is used, the file must be "Saved as..." a text file.. They must be named exactly as follows:
- pre.txt - Letter sent before the contact.
- post1.txt - First letter sent after the contact.
- post2.txt - Second letter sent after the contact.
- post3.txt - Third letter sent after the contact.
- post4.txt - Fourth letter sent after the contact..
These files may be edited or replaced but they must stay in simple text format, must be named exactly as shown and must be saved back to the folder shown above. They may be edited directly using a simple text processor like Microsoft's Notepad or by using the "Configure" tab from within the Followup Secretary program.
NOTE: A special handling code can be included either in these templates or by using Outlook's.
Outlook's Signature Tool can be used to design a phrase to be appended to the end of each email. For example:
Samantha Doe, Sales
Widgets, Inc.
PC874v7
Signature Tool. If the template is to be used for the code, place the code anywhere in the body of the letter.. This code can be used by Outlooks Rules Wizard to transfer this email to a specific folder upon receipt of the email. |
