Manage Outlook
Signature
Outlook can be used to supply a standard signature to be appended to the end of each email that is sent:
- Open Outlook.
- Select "Options" from "Tools" located in the menu bar at the top of the Outlook window.
- Click the "Mail Format" tab.
- Use "Signature Picker" to create and manage the signatures to be included in the emails. It is here that codes may be inserted to be later used by the Rules Wizard.
Rules Wizard
If an incoming email includes an embedded code, that code can be used to direct the email to a specific folder:
- Create a folder(s) to receive the letters.
- Click “Tools | Rules Wizard…”.
- Click “New”.
- Select “Check messages when they arrive” and then click “Next”.
- Check “with specific words in the body”.
- Click on the link “specific words” in the bottom pane “Rule description…”.
- In the “Add new:” field, enter the code exactly as it will presented by the letter, then click “Add” and then “OK”.
- Check “move it to the specified folder”.
- Click the link “specified” in the bottom pane “Rule description…”.
- Navigate to the folder to which the message is to be moved and then click “OK”.
- Click “Finish”
- Click “OK
