Searchable Masks

Titan Backup offers you the possibility to backup files of any type from your entire harddisk. Searchable Mask is an easy way to scan for certain category of files without having to manually check all the partitions from your harddisk. Searchable Mask is a predefined list of file extensions that can be used as reference in scanning process.

Note: Searchable Masks are applied only for backup Tasks.

For example, you can backup your Picture files from your harddisk. You need to create a backup with Picture files mask as Source. When the task run, it search for any pictures on your harddisk, and save them to Destination folder.

Select searchable masks as Source of your backup Tasks From the Source tab of the New Backup or Edit Task wizard click on Files/Folders button Select the file types you want to backup from your harddisk, for example Picture files and Music files. Also, you can select files or folders. Press OK and the selected masks appears in your source list. Continue with the New Backup/Edit Task process Delete searchable masks from your Backup Source From the Source tab of the New Backup or Edit Task wizard select the mask you want to delete and click on Delete button or click on Files/Folders button and uncheck the mask you want to delete.

You can manage the mask lists from the menu Options -> Masks page, by selecting Searchable Masks entry from a masks list. Titan Backup offers a set of pre-defined masks, however you may also create your own masks.

The masks you define in Options -> Masks may be applied to any Backup Task you create.
