File Conflict
In Sync process you can have any conflict situations between files operations. For example, you can modify a file in both locations (in first location and in second location). After this action, the file has different content in first location and in second location.
File conflict window is a window with a list of conflict situations. It appears in following cases:
- when you modify a file in both locations - in this case you can choice to copy a file from first location to second location (click >>), or to copy a file from second location to first location (click <<).
You can select the default action from the Options tab of the New Sync or Edit Task wizard:
- Copy newest file - with this option selected the default action on Conflict Window will determine only the newest files to be copied on both locations.
- Copy oldest files - with this option selected the default action on Conflict Window will determine only the oldest files to be copied on both locations.
- Copy file from first location - on a conflict situation the files from first location will have priority.
- Copy file from second location - on a conflict situation the files from second location will have priority.
- when you delete a file from any location and the "Prompt for deleted files" option is selected from Options tab of the Sync Task - in this case you can choice to delete the file from the other location, or keep the file in both locations.
