Backup Destination

Local Folder

To save a backup on a local folder, follow these steps:

Local Folder

  1. Create a new backup (click Backup button from the welcome page) or Edit an existing backup (click My Tasks from the welcome page then double-click the task you want to edit from the tasks list). 
  2. Go to Destination tab and mark Local Folder radio button. 
  3. Select the local folder you want as your backup destination: type in the exact path (e.g. C:\Program Files\Titan Backup\Backup) or click browse button to locate the exact folder on your computer. If you specify a folder name that doesn't exist, the folder will be created on execution.

Local Area Network (LAN Folder)

To save a backup over the local network, follow these steps:

  1. Create a new backup (click Backup button from the welcome page) or Edit an existing backup (click My Tasks from the welcome page then double-click the task you want to edit from the tasks list). 
  2. Go to Destination tab and mark Local Area Network (LAN Folder) radio button.
  3. Select the LAN folder you want as your backup destination: type in the exact path (e.g. \\BackupComputer\MyBackups) or click browse button to locate the exact folder on your computer. If the destination LAN Folder is a password protected folder you need to mark the "Folder is password protected" checkbox and fill in the username and password. For security reasons, if the task is edited by anyone, the password is not visible, but you can change it, by clicking the "Change password" button. If you specify a folder name that doesn't exist, the folder will be created. Note: make sure you have full-rights on the remote network location!
