1- Remove original file after splitting :
When this option is selected, Quick Split will remove the file selected to split after it has successfully completed splitting the file.
2- Prompt to format each disk :
When this option is selected, Quick Split will prompt to format each disk before it used. However, Quick Split will not attempt to format a fixed drive (such as a hard drive) if that is the specified directory.
3- Create batch file for restoring :
When selected, Quick Split will create a batch file that can later be used to restore the original file. The batch file will be written after the last piece and therefore, when splitting to floppy disks, it is located on the last floppy. In order to use this batch file to restore the original file, you must copy all of the split pieces and the batch file to the same directory on your PC and then run the batch file. The original file will be created in the same directory as all of the other files.
4- Generate 8.3 Dos name :
When selected, Quick Split will ensure that each piece that it creates adheres to the short file name( 8.3 Format ) rules imposed by Win 3.1 and DOS. It is extremely usefull when you are splitting a file that you intend to restore on a Win 3.1 machine.
