File Renamer

File Renamer allows you to rename files from tags using masks. Masks make the process of renaming more easier. To rename files check necessary tracks in the list and fill the following options:
- File Mask - mask of filename. You should use special characters displayed in the 'Hint' section on the screenshot above.
- Preview - in this field you can see a preview.
- Spaces - select appropriate option from the following: unchanged, replace spaces with underscores, replace underscores with spaces, delete spaces, delete underscores.
- Case - select method of capitalization: unchanged, lower case, upper case, capitalize first letter, capitalize first word.
- Track # format - if you use track # to name files you can select format.
Before you rename you will see a preview of new filename(s).

There are 4 states of files to be renamed, which displayed using different colors:
- new filename is generated without any errors. By default such items are checked.
- at least one of necessary fields is empty. By default such items are not checked.
- generated filename contains invalid characters. There are 7 characters that cannot be used in filenames: ':', '"', '/', '\', '*', '?', '|'. By default such items are not checked.
- file or tag doesn't exist. By default such items are not checked.
You can change new filename manually by double-clicking on an item. Be sure, only checked items will be renamed. After renaming you will be able to undo all changes. |
