Main Editor

The Main Editor contains two pages automatically loaded with tag data from each supported and enabled file type in the current folder. Page ID3v1 contains data from ID3v1 tags in MP3s only, while the second page may contain data from any other type of tags supported.

Most fields are individually editable. When the data in a cell become changed, the new data are committed to the respective file when focus is moved to another cell or object. File names are shown and are editable in two columns, a first and, if enabled, a duplicate second column (file name changes can also be made in the File Window , upper right).

Change Editor pages by clicking the tabs on the left above the Editors, or by clicking the Data Source button on the Center Toolbar, or by choosing a desired page at Main Menu > View.

Most columns can be made visible or hidden from view, and the order in which they appear is optional (see topic Column Order & Visibility). Columns can also be removed from view by right-clicking on a column header and choosing "Hide column" from a popup. Column sizes are adjustable by dragging a top row cell edge with the mouse. If "Data Cell Widths" is enabled in Preferences (see "Save On Exit" section on the Behaviors page), column widths are saved when the program exits and restored again when the program is next executed. Column widths can be reset to their default widths by first unchecking and then re-checking this option or, alternatively, clicking the "Defaults" button on the Column Order & Visibility panel (<Ctrl+M>, or Column button on the Center Toolbar). This will also reset columns to their default order.
