Confirmations/Warnings

Single-Tag Editor save: When checked, the user is asked to confirm a save request before tag text is written to a single file from the Single-Tag Editor .

Rename: When checked, the user is asked to confirm a request to rename multiple files using either the Rename Page or the Rename option on the multi-tag popup menu. This option is also applied to the renaming of folders in the Browser.

Rename Undo: When checked, the user is asked to confirm a request to reverse a previous rename of multiple files using either the Rename Page or the Rename option on the multi-tag popup menu.

Warn if no change: When this option is enabled and there have been no changes resulting from a Preview, Rename, or Undo, the user is informed that no changes have resulted from these actions.

File Operations: When checked, the user is asked to confirm requests to delete, move, or overwrite files in the File Window, to manually rename individual files, and to create tag data for one type of tag by using data from another.

File Save: When enabled, confirmation is given when a tag list, playlist, image, or other file has been created and saved on the hard drive.

Tag Compression: When checked, the use is asked to confirm a request to compress ID3v2 tags in selected files (via Menu | Edit | Compress Tags).

Tag Conversion: When checked, the user is asked to confirm requests to convert ID3v2.3 tags to ID3v2.4 tags in selected files (via Menu | Edit | ID3v2.3 * ID3v2.4), or vice versa (via Menu | Edit | ID3v2.4 * ID3v2.3). This option also controls confirmation requests for data swaps, pastes, and edits of the Musician Credit List column when editing ID3v2.3 tags. Since version 2.3 does not support the Musician Credits List frame, an ID3v2.3 tag must be upgraded to ID3v2.4 in order to enter data into this column. This is done automatically when this option is disabled, but a confirmation is requested when this option is checked.

Tag Errors: The reporting of non-critical errors detected by the program while reading or writing tag data can be enabled or disabled by checking or unchecking this option. Errors detected by the operating system are not affected by this setting.

Tag Removal: When checked, the user is asked to confirm a request to remove tags from selected files.

Save On Exit

"File names only": When enabled, the state of the File Names Only check box is saved when the program exits, and restored when the program is run again. If not checked when the program exits, File Names Only is presented unchecked by default, the next time the program is executed.

"Show folders": When enabled, the state of the Show Folders check box is saved when the program exits, and restored when the program is run again. If not checked when the program exits, Show Folders is presented unchecked by default, the next time the program is executed.

Last active folder: When enabled, the folder selected in the File Browser when the program is exited will be saved, and this folder will be automatically re-selected when the program is run the next time. If not checked when the program exits, the program will attempt to default to root folder "C:\."

Rename templates: When enabled, all rename templates defined on the Rename Page Saved Templates list are saved, and are restored to the list the next time the program is run. If this option is disabled, the list is reset to the two default templates: 1) "Artist - Title.mp3" and 2) "Title - Artist.mp3," the next time the program is run.

Program size: When enabled, the program's screen size at the time it terminates is saved. When the program is run the next time, it is restored to this same size. If this option is left unchecked when the program exits, the program begins its next execution size approximately equal to two thirds the available screen size.

Column widths: When enabled, the current width of each column in the Main Editors is saved when the program exits, and is restored again the next time the program is run. Default column widths are applied the next time if this option is left unchecked when the program exits. This check box also doubles as a "Reset Button" for column widths. Unchecking this option automatically resets all column widths to their default values.
