Browser
Access: Menu > View > Browser, Browser Button, <Alt+B>
Use the File Browser much like you would any other browser to navigate your file system. When you select a folder in the Folder Window on the left, the files contained in that folder are shown in the File Window on the right. If a folder contains files listable by the Main Editor, their tags are automatically scanned and loaded into the Editor below the Browser.

Basic Cut, Copy, and Paste of selected files and folders is supported by the Browser, by right clicking the mouse in the File Window to bring up a popup menu, or by using one of the speed buttons on the panel directly above it (many of these functions are also available on the Main Menu under File), or by drag & drop. See topic Toolbars for a discussion of features available on the toolbar above the Browser.
To play a file, double-click it if you have an associated player installed (file names in the Main Editor can also be double-clicked to play a file). The Folder and File Windows will accept drag & drop files and folders from an external application, and files or folders can be copied or moved to another folder by dragging them from the File Window into the Folder Window, or dragging them to an external application.
If the Single-Tag Editor is selected (the Tag button), tag data for the file selected in the File Window is shown. Similarly, if the Specifications Viewer is selected (the "Spec" tab), basic statistical data about the selected file is displayed. |
