Update Scheduler

This section enables the user to schedule STOPzilla updates, and indicate what actions STOPzilla takes when performing updates. In the Update tab, you can opt to get updates automatically or manually. If you opt to get updates automatically, you can set the time you would like to receive these updates.

Click (select) the control buttons to indicate whether you want STOPzilla to update automatically, or if you wish to perform manual updates. Even if you opt for automatic updates, you can still check for updates manually at any time. Click CHECK FOR UPDATES in the lower right corner of most STOPzilla dialogs to check for updates manually.

If you select Update Automatically, a notification check box will become enabled. Select (check) this box if you would like to be notified when an update has been applied. This is strictly a matter of personal preference.

Select (check) Check for updates before performing scan if you wish to receive updates before every scan is performed. It is always best to have the latest updates before STOPzilla performs a scan. Therefore it is recommended that you select this option.
