SITEguard Summary
Use the SITEguard Summary tab to enable protection from Phishing and other malicious Web sites. You can also configure the level of SITEguard protection you want for your computer with SITEguard Settings, and see the version of Phishing definitions running on your computer.
By default,SITEguard protection and all settings are On (enabled.) It is recommended that you leave the default settings for optimal protection.
The Protection Status group box indicates whether SITEguard protection is enabled, and provides read-only displays of the Phishing Engine Version and Definition Version installed on your computer.
The SITEguard Settings group box enables you to configure specific protection parameters.
To configure SITEguard protection:
- From the navigation bar, select SITEGUARD. By default, the system opens to the Summary tab.
- Click ON or OFF on the SITEguard command button to enable/disable Use the On and Off buttons to enable or disable SITEguard protection. By default, SITEguard protection is set to On. It is strongly recommended that you do not change this setting. For more information on disabling SITEguard protection, see Disabling Real-Time Protection.
- You can click on the Block / Allow tab within the illustration below to view the contents of that tab.

- If you attempt to disable SITEguard protection, the system displays a warning that you will not be protected from malicious Web sites if you decide to disable protection. You may still opt to disable this feature. Click YES to disable, or click NO (strongly recommended) to remain protected.

Version Info
The Version Info group box on the SITEguard Summary displays the Engine Version and Definition Version of the SITEguard Protection. For details, please see: SITEguard Definition Updates.
SITEguard Settings
By default, all settings are selected (enabled) It is strongly recommended that you keep the default settings. Settings are as follows:
- Block access by scanning network traffic.
- Block access to known malicious sites.
- Block suspicious network activity.
- Use heuristics to identify potentially malicious sites and network activity.
