SITEguard Protection

STOPzilla's SITEguard protection uses multiple technologies to help detect known and potential malicious sites of all kinds including Phishing sites, sites distributing Spyware, and sites that contain exploits. The Web addresses (URLs) of the latest known malicious sites are downloaded from multiple databases many times each day, and included in your STOPzilla updates.

In addition, STOPzilla uses heuristics -analysis of behavior and content- to determine the likelihood that a particular site is unsafe. STOPzilla's unique Anti-Phishing Scoring Engine subjects each Web site you attempt to visit to a set of sequential evaluations intended to identify fraudulent sites. When the score reaches the threshold level, STOPzilla takes your browser to a special "Site Blocked" page. You can still access the site, but you are advised not to do so.
