SITEguard Definition Updates
SITEguard definitions are the URLs (Web addresses) of Phishing sites, and other malicious sites. Phishing is the use of fraudulent e-mail and Web sites to lure users into revealing personal information, such as passwords, Social Security numbers, account numbers, credit card numbers, and other identifiers. As part of its SITEguard Technology, STOPzilla obtains a direct feed of the latest Phishing sites from one of the world's largest databases of malicious URLs. As often as every twenty minutes, STOPzilla receives the Web addresses of the most recently discovered sites and updates the product. For optimal protection against Phishing attacks, you must be running the latest SITEguard definitions.
To view the version of Phishing definitions you are running:
In the navigation bar on the left side of the STOPzilla Home console, click SITEguard. The Version Info group box displays the Engine Version and Definition Version of the SITEguard Protection. In this iteration of STOPzilla, Engine Version and Definition Version are the same.
