Startup

The Startup tool lists all the applications that start up automatically when you start your computer or log into Windows.
Many programs you installed are set to run automatically when you start your computer and load Windows. For the majority of cases, this type of behavior is fine. Unfortunately, spyware, hijackers, Trojans, worms, and viruses may be loaded in that way, as well. This is the reason that it is important to check startup registry keys.
To manage startup programs
- Open the Tools page.
- Click Startup. The Startup page opens. And then all the applications that start up automatically when you start your computer and load Windows are shown in the Startup list.
- To disable a startup program but keep it in the startup program list, please select it from the list and click the Disable button. To delete a startup program from the list, please select it and click the Delete button.
