Ad Servers
This section allows you to manage the list of ad servers AdvertisingCleaner can automatically block for you. When you install AdvertisingCleaner, a list containing all known ad servers is delivered with the product. You can however edit this list to suit your needs by adding new entries or editing/removing existing ones.
Adding new entries to the list:
Simply enter the URL or a part of the URL that you want to block in the WebSite URL field and press the Add button.
Editing/Removing entries
Select one of the entries by clicking it. You should see its value in the WebSite URL field. You can now either edit it and click Change to save it or just click Delete to permanently remove it from the list.
Temporarily un-block an entry
Deselect the checkbox next to an entry if you want to disable the blocking of pop-ups from a certain domain, but you don't want to remove it from the list.
Enabling/Disabling AdServers Blocking
To toggle AdServers Blocking on/off:
- Check/uncheck the Block AdServers checkbox in this window.
- You can alternatively right-click on AdvertisingCleaner's traybar icon (in the bottom-right of your screen, next to the system clock) and check/uncheck the Block AdServers option.
- AdServer Blocking can also be enabled/disabled by pressing a hot-key.
