Whitelist

The whitelist defines a list of folders, files or detected infections which will be ignored by upcoming scans. In opposition to the file filter the whitelist does not recognize the file format, only its location at your hard disk (CD, DVD, etc.) is noticed.

Some programs, which may appear useful to you, can be detected as a possible cause of risk. If you want to use them anyway, add this "infection" to your whitelist. Before doing so, get the latest information from the internet to avoid needless risks.

Tip: The whitelist accelerates the scan seriously but avoids a full system scan. There is a safety risk due to erroneous or missing entries, some infection might not be detected. These options should be altered only by experienced users.
