System Processes
Current applications always have associated processes, those are indicated in task managers. Ashampoo AntiSpyWare 2´s task manager, has extended functions in comparison to the normal Windows® task manager. Additionally Ashampoo AntiSpyWare 2 shows the icons of the applications, too.
Most Trojan horses are already active since system start, that means, they already run as process invisibly in the background, without visible windows anyway. However these processes are indicated in the process-list, where you can terminate immediately the current application. The affected file is still is on the PC, though the process of this file was terminated and a hacker cannot take control of your computer.
Starting the module
Click the tuning tools entry for Process Manager.
Selecting the service
This tool enables you to analyze all running tasks (services).
From the list of running processes, choose the service you want to read more about, such as e.g. comprehensive file information, loaded modules or window classes. To view this information, you just need to click the tabs on the side. In addition, to make sure all running processes are being included, you can refresh all processes with a click on “refresh” on the left below “General”.
System load
In the lower window area, you can view the number of running processes, the processor load and the RAM load in real time. This way you will immediately notice differences as soon as you end a process.

Cancel a process
To cancel a process, just mark it with a click and hit the End process button.
Tip: Please don't cancel a process without an important reason. Eerroneous canceled processes can endanger the stability of your system!
