Preferences

The preferences tab is used to configure program settings. Here you can specify the scan attitudes (e.g. to activate the scan in archives ) and basic removing and reporting settings . The changes made here apply to all scan-profiles of Ashampoo AntiSpyWare 2.

Scan

The Scan is one of the main features of Ashampoo AntiSpyWare 2. Of course you can adapt the preferences to your personal needs. Advanced options can accelerate or deepen the scan.

Whitelist

The Whitelist defines a list of folders, files or detected infections which will be ignored by upcoming scans.

File Filter

The File Filter offers the possibility to set up the file types (i.e. jpeg, mp3, etc.) which will be scanned or ignored by Ashampoo AntiSpyWare 2. There are four options to choose from.

Taskplanner

Your system can be automatically scheduled in order to clean your system from infections. The Taskplanner coordinates this task, the scan method is freely selectable.

Proxy

Regular update boost the level of security at your system. If your internet connection uses a proxy server, please register it at the Proxy settings.

Miscellaneous Options

The Miscellaneous Options contain further options to set up the quarantine, to configure the logs and to reset your options to default.
