Customised Scan

If you've chosen the "Customized Scan" option through the "Scan" menu within the program or clicked on the icon within the "Tasks" menu the program will immediately show a menu where you can choose or remove files and folders to be scanned. To elaborate this mode, your memory, cookies and registry can be added to your selection easily. Just click Start scan and Ashampoo AntiSpyWare 2 informs you clearly about which objects are examined as well as the current and entire process. As soon as the scan completes it displays a summary within the next dialog window. The summary indicates if infections were found as well as which objects have been found. Via click on the "Continue" button all of the infected files are moved into the quarantine section where you can select which objects you want to keep or remove afterwards. To select single objects simple check the checkbox in front of the object. Another click on the "Continue" button will automatically remove all selected objects from your system, so your system will be clean from spyware and other threats again. To restore removed objects please simple change to the "Quarantine" section and select the objects which shall be restored again.

Processing

Press "Cancel" to abort the scan. Nevertheless, it is recommended to complete the scan so that you can exclude threats on your system.
